Beginner workshop: Pharmacometrics (PMx) in R

Instructor: Surulivelrajan Mallayasamy (Rajan)

This workshop will introduce participants to contemporary and reproducible pharmacometric simulation workflows in R using tidyverse and mrgsolve.

Participants will learn to use tidyverse for efficient data cleaning and summarization and plotting. Build simple compartment models. Include different levels of variability into models and perform evaluations. Workshop is ideal for Masters and graduate students, who are new to the modeling and pharmacometrics discipline. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to understand model outputs, generate publication-ready plots and perform basic design evaluations. Instructions to install the softwares will be sent in advance to the participants.

Advanced workshop: Putting AI/ML to work in PMx

Instructor: James Lu

Curious about artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) but not sure where to start? This hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop introduces key concepts and shows how to put AI/ML to work in pharmacometrics – with topics ranging from ML for exposure-response analysis, to neural-ODE-based disease modeling. No prior AI background is required. Working in Python, participants will explore workflows using synthetic and publicly available datasets provided. Bring your own LLM.
